ContributedLast autumn, Christine Gleeson mentioned the idea of holding a community celebration dinner in Allora's Drayton St and it wasn't long before ideas started rolling in rays bans for other activities to join the line up. The event also coincided with the Allora State School's 150th birthday celebrations, which would include a raft of activities like the opening of a time capsule and the burying of a new one as well as a bush dance tonight and fun activities between 9am and 4pm tomorrow.
Ms Gladman said almost the whole Allora community supported the festival and offered to help where possible. She said this year's action had already kicked off with a tree decorating competition. Last year it attracted two entries and this year it had grown to 22 entries, with joint first place going to going to the Allora Red Hatters and Sarah and Stacey Turner.
